Idaho Falls 1, Plein Air

This was the first time I painted the falls in plein air. I arrived to see my painting buddies and realized I forgot to bring a canvas. Thank goodness someone had an extra. With this painting I realized how hard it is to paint outside with acrylic paint. The paint dried so fast that I found I had to work faster so as not to loose the colors I had carefully mixed. Some paintings are quick and easy and some are more challenging. This one kept me on my toes.
